Having celebrated over 200 birthdays, the handbag is one of the oldest of our modern fashion accessories. Purses pull double-duty as being both a functional object and a fashionable piece that show off your personal style.

Used to carry a wallet, keys, makeup, cell phones, brushes, and anything else you might need on-the-go, purses range in size from teeny tiny clutches to almost-bigger-than-you hobos. Though most of us choose our handbags based on future uses, price, and personal fashion choices, the rich and famous have long been able to carry the most extravagant, expensive handbags in the world. For those of us on a slightly restricted budget, replicas and less expensive designs are available from more economical designers. You may not get a diamond-encrusted designer original, but fantastic handbag styles are certainly available to all budgets.
